chrome fog light and rear reflector cover trim

Post  on Tue 1 May - 11:05

Hi,

Has anyone tried these chrome fog light trim pieces?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-Fog-Light-Lamp-cover-trim-For-2011-2012-Hyundai-Sonata-lights-covers-new-/220977032640?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2012%7CModel%3ASonata&hash=item337341edc0&vxp=mtr

I see that there are also rear reflector trim pieces. It looks like they are just put on with 3M tape or something. I presume that one would also want to use some other adhevsive?

It's peel and stick...and I haven't had any issues....other than they are plastic and dent easily from flying debris.

Looks like a part you would get at walmart. I would add the fake stick on vents for the side of the fendors. Those are real popular.

Precisely why I am overly-critical of any/all "stick-on" accessories.

The rain guards and "YF" door guards were a real stretch for me, but I like them now.

i was thinking about the rear reflectors in matte black, i have the type2 diffuser and hate the gap that you see when looking at the car from the side. Thinking about taking it off, putting these on and then re installing.

makes the diffuser look completely fake and kills the effect....imo

I was also thinking about ordering them and painting them black. It looks like there is kinda a lip that they might be able to fit inside the diffuer. I will have to find a pic of my car to show you what i mean but i am pretty sure you do.

Where'd the Chrome Center line between the fog lights come from?

The front looks nice. I'm NOT a fan of the rear accents though.
